Privacy Policy

This policy describes what information Financial Operations Networks (FON) collects through finopsnet.com, why we collect it, and how it’s used. It covers this website only.

Information you provide to us

When you request a demo, contact us, apply for a role, or subscribe to our newsletter, we collect what you type into that form — for example your name, business email, phone number, company, and any message, cover letter, or résumé link you include. The demo request, contact, and careers forms send what you enter to our servers, which pass it to Black Glass Leads, the lead-management service we use to store and respond to inquiries.

Information we collect automatically

When you submit a form, our server records the IP address your browser connects from (read from standard proxy headers) and your browser’s user-agent string, and includes them with the submission. We use this, together with the enrichment service ZoomInfo, to identify the likely company behind a form submission for lead follow-up. We also set a first-party visitor id (see “Cookies” below) and record, in this browser, which pages you’ve viewed along with the referring site and campaign parameters (such as utm_source) from your first and most recent visits, so that a demo, careers, or newsletter submission arrives with basic context about how you found us — this data stays in your browser unless you submit a form. Separately, we use Google Analytics to measure how the site is used (see “Cookies” below).

Newsletter

If you subscribe to the Vendor Relations Advisor newsletter, we send your email address (and first name, if you give one) to Resend, our email delivery provider, which stores it in a mailing list so we can send you future issues. We also record the signup in Black Glass Leads, with the context described above. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email.

Cookies and similar technologies

finopsnet.com sets one first-party cookie (fon_vid) that stores a random visitor id for up to one year, and uses your browser’s sessionStorage and localStorage to remember a per-visit session id and a short log of the pages you’ve viewed on this site. None of this is shared with third parties on its own — it is only included with a form if and when you choose to submit one. We also use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors use the site, and Google Ads conversion measurement to learn whether our advertising leads to inquiries. These Google services set their own cookies (for example _ga) and receive information such as your IP address, the pages you view, and details about your device and browser; Google’s privacy policy describes how Google handles that data, and Google offers a browser add-on for opting out of Google Analytics.

Embedded video

Recorded sessions on our Events page play through YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com). The video only loads after you click to play it; YouTube’s own privacy policy governs data collected once you do.

How we use your information

We use the information above to respond to demo requests and contact inquiries, evaluate job applications, send the newsletter to people who’ve subscribed, and understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it. We do not sell personal information.

Data retention

Form submissions are retained in Black Glass Leads for as long as needed to respond to the inquiry and keep our business records. Newsletter contact records are retained in Resend until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. The visitor id cookie expires automatically after one year; session and journey data clear when you clear your browser storage.
